"A Cup Of Life"

You guys, I may have found my new favorite coffee shop. I have had some really good lattes over the past two years of blogging. Some really, really good ones. But ya’ll. I ain’t a lying when I say, I may have stumbled upon the best in the Midwest.

You don’t have to take my word for it. In fact, you shouldn’t. Go see for yourself especially if you live in Springfield! Honestly, even if you don’t live here, it’s worth the trip.

Love Craft Farms. That’s the place. They make all their own syrups with the purest ingredients available. They also make absolutely delicious kombucha with the cleanest and healthiest ingredients. The coffee tastes like love. Pure love. The kombucha tastes like someone handed you gentle delight in a cup, and the owners/baristas are the bomb! You can taste the care that they craft into each creation. Their passion for bringing pristine deliciousness is obvious with each sip.

It’s probably pretty safe to say that I’m addicted. I hope that you join me in supporting such an incredible business!

Go check out their website at lovecraftfarms.com for more info!

Why all this hoopla? After a 20-mile bike ride and my first sip of their latte, I was inspired to write the poem below. I dedicate this week’s blog and poem to Love Craft Farms and hope their business grows exponentially this year! Cheers!

“A Cup Of Life”

by Abigail Hobbs

Sometimes hope comes in a cup of coffee.

Organic beans.

A latte perfectly steamed.

Sometimes we don’t know the destination.

A conundrum.

We long for some elation.

One day we finally make the leap.

Out underneath.

We wave goodbye and leave.

But life isn’t so easily mapped.

We pack.

With still no view of the path.

The mountains are relentless.

Seems endless.

Why did we even try this?

Somedays the past seems better.

Bad weather.

Tempts us to forget it.

For some reason, we don’t quit.

Push through shit.

Our courageous human spirit.

Then Hope returns in a cup of coffee.

Indubitably.

Awakens curiosity.

Could we be something different?

More fluent?

An ever-changing current?

Sometimes a dare is all we need.

A dream.

A choice to risk comfort’s safety.

We’ll never know if we don’t try.

Jump high.

The sun goes down, but it will rise.

The way will clear as we go.

Unfold.

Just keep going and don’t lose hope.

But if you do that’s okay.

For today.

You found it again in your latte.

Hi, thanks for dropping by!

Abigail is the best person to spend time with! She loves to encourage and support everyone she meets!

The writings you will read in this blog are her raw thoughts and musings on life as she learns to heal from the past and extend the same encouragement and support she so freely gives others to herself.

I think her candid honesty will ring true and encourage all of us to be brave and live our true lives every moment!
